What is Urgent Care?

Overview

The Federal and State Governments have announced commitment to trial new Urgent Care Clinics around the country. The Urgent Care Clinics are designed to divert people who are triage levels 4-5 away from emergency departments. This will help ease pressure on emergency departments, enabling people to access faster care for urgent but non-critical conditions and free up critical resources for patients with more serious needs.

• What it required to deliver an Urgent Care Clinic
• Key things General Practices need to consider if they would like to be an Urgent Care Clinic
