GP Advisors for 2025 CPD Education
We invite GPs in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow and Penrith local government areas to provide input and guidance in shaping our key CPD education topics for 2025.
Background
Under the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program, there is a requirement that outcomes and scope of activities are developed with GP input and reflect identified general practice learning and development needs.
We are seeking GPs to provide input and advice into the following education activities for 2025:
- Annual Paediatric Conference
- Antenatal Share Care
- Women’s Health - Navigating Women’s Health Day
- Healthy Aging
- Mental Health
- Cultural Awareness
What's Involved?
This opportunity involves a time commitment of up to four hours per year. Most input will be shared via email, with occasional phone calls involving our Manager for Workforce Partnership and Development and our Training and Event Coordinator. If required, there may be up to one meeting per year. We will contact you to seek:
- Recommendations or suggestions for GP''s specific learning needs on topics.
- Input into the writing or approval of learning outcomes.
- Suggestions for topics for future CPD activities.
- Recommendations for specialists or other health professionals.
Funding
GPs are eligible for an hourly payment of $165. Additional optional work is also available, which further compensation will be provided for.
