Primary Care Advisory Committee

Expressions of interest are being sought to participate in our new Primary Care Advisory Committee (PCAC), which is being established to provide leadership and strategic direction for primary care initiatives.

PCAC will act as a reference group to provide expert guidance on quality improvement, health data and population health management, including use of digital health and technology to support quality improvement activities. The Committee will provide advice on the delivery of NBMPHN Primary Care Programs by providing insight to assist with addressing program issues and risks, share ideas and provide feedback specifically around implications of Quality Improvement approaches in the primary care setting.

We are seeking General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Practice Managers, Allied Health Providers and Consumers from across our region to join the Primary Care Advisory Group Committee. We are looking for people who:

  • Are passionate about improving patient care and health service delivery
  • Interested in driving innovation and change in practice
  • Embrace the principles of safe, coordinated, accessible and patient-centered care
  • Are willing to share, collaborate and inspire others
  • Have an understanding of the population health needs of our region
  • Are keen to engage and network with colleagues to share information and gather feedback from the sector
  • Currently work in general practice and or primary care in our region

What’s will participation involve?

The initial term of this group will be 12 months from 30 October 2019, with the option to review and extend.

Members of PCAC will be required to attend four face-to-face meetings per year held in the evening at the NBMPHN office Werrington.

Chairing the Advisory Committee

The position of Chair of the Advisory Committee will be held by a General Practitioner member, who will lead the PCAC meetings and agenda items, and provide feedback to the General Practitioner Clinical Council Chair on meeting outcomes.
