An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' specific service delivered by Greater Western Aboriginal Health Services (GWAHS) providing equitable access to appropriate alcohol and other drug (AOD) and mental health services in the Penrith area.
Services are offered in a culturally safe manner with respect to men’s and women’s business via face-to-face or telehealth as appropriate, these include:
- Care coordination and support to attend appointments requiring:
- medical services (i.e., GPs, allied health professionals)
- mental health/well-being support
- alcohol and other drug issues
- community health education events
Service-specific criteria
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples aged 16+ experiencing alcohol and other drug and/or mental health issues.
- Living or working in the Penrith LGA and surrounding suburbs.

- Self-referral
- Referrals from other agencies and GPs
An assessment process offered by Greater Western Aboriginal Health Service is required before a client can enter the program.

The Nepean Linker Project is available Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm (however, face-to-face support alternates between Penrith and Mt Druitt locations)
Face-to-face services have resumed with COVID-19 safety measures in place, and telehealth services are still an option if needed.
