The Horse Care and Mentoring Program provides a safe and culturally supportive space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who are at risk of self-harm or suicide.
The program is designed to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through hands-on horse care training, cultural connection and mentorship. Participants will learn essential equine skills while building confidence, responsibility, and pathways to future work opportunities in animal care.
Eligibility
The program is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples aged 13 years and over living in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow or Penrith regions.
