Enrolled Nurse - Penrith

A busy GP Medical Centre and Skin Cancer Clinic in Penrith NSW is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to work approximately 3 days per week job sharing with 2 other nurses. All training will be provided by an experienced senior RN and EN.
Medeco Skin Cancer Clinic and Medeco Medical Centre are seeking a team player with a pro-active and friendly persona who can provide full nursing support to a team of doctors. The ability to multi-task in a busy treatment room setting is a must.
Job Type: Casual
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
Expected days: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday's (successful applicant must be available for annual and sick leave relief)
Work Location: Onsite/In person
Main duties include:
- Triage
- Wound management
- Immunisations
- Spirometry
- ECG
- Health assessments
- Diabetic assessments
- Chronic disease management
- Infection control
- Cold chain management
- Removal of sutures
- Assist with clinical procedures this including excisions
- Sterilising
- Result recalls
- Patient reminders and recalls
- Other duties as required
Essential Criteria:
- Registration with AHPRA
- Experience in a General Practice environment
- Must have high level of computer skills as the practice is fully computerised.
- Current CPR
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment with an emphasis on positive team structure
- Legal Rights to work in Australia (sponsorship is not available for this position).
- A current Police Check
- The successful applicant must be committed to practice ongoing professional development and be willing to assist in Accreditation procedures.
Desirable Criteria:
- Nursing experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Experience as a peri-operative/surgical nurse is desirable but not essential
