Registered Nurse - Emu Plains

Emu Plains Medical Centre is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to work in a busy, solo GP practice in Emu Plains NSW. Hours include: Monday and Tuesday 9:00am - 5:00pm. Immediate start. Training provided.
Position requirements:
- Current RN registration with AHPRA (unrestricted).
- Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Ability to work minimum 25 hours per week if required.
- Full working rights within Australia.
- Previous experience working as an RN in a clinical setting.
- Experience and knowledge of chronic disease care plans and health assessments.
- Must be familiar with with all immunisation, cold chain and infection control standards.
Desirable criteria:
- Knowledge of medical software programs specifically: Medical Director and Pracsoft.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, friendly “can do” personality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Triage and assessment of patients in the waiting room.
- Wound Management.
- Adult and paediatric immunisations.
- Assist Doctor with clinical procedures.
- Maintain clinical documentation.
- Assist doctor with chronic disease management (TCA, GPMP and Health Assessments).
- Maintaining recall and reminder system.
- Management of stock control and equipment maintenance.
- Must be able to help out with administrative duties if required (e.g. answering the phone, booking appointments and helping out at the reception desk).
