headspace Katoomba is Open

We are delighted to announce that headspace Katoomba is now open with a new bright and welcoming premises on Waratah Street in Katoomba.

This vital service will provide early intervention support to local young people aged 12-25 years and their families across mental health, work and study, and alcohol and other drugs.

We have been working closely with the Blue Mountains community and Parramatta Mission to establish this service as quickly as possible. Given the current challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, to see the doors open so close to the planned time-frame is a significant achievement for everyone involved.

Young people within our region have faced many unexpected challenges over the last 12 months, with bushfires, floods and now COVID-19. During these unprecedented times, our hope is that this service will be a safe place for young people to seek the help and care they need for their mental health and wellbeing.

Parramatta Mission is also introducing the Bushfire Relief Service across the Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury areas to support young people who have been affected by the recent bushfires. The Blue Mountains service will utilise headspace Katoomba as a hub to provide this support.

headspace Katoomba is located at 37 Waratah Street Katoomba is open Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm (later appointments will be available). Given the challenges of COVID-19, people are encouraged to call the service on 1800 478 626 before visiting.
