FT GP role in Katoomba – Waiting patient base

10 February 2026

Upper Mountains Medical Centre is looking for a full-time GP to partner with their team and provide community healthcare in their purpose-built facility.

Upper Mountains Medical Centre is an established, mixed billing community practice located in Katoomba, 90 minutes from Sydney CBD. With a large and loyal patient base, this is an excellent opportunity to deliver meaningful community healthcare while enjoying strong earning potential and work–life balance.

The practice relocated to a purpose-built health hub in May 2024, significantly expanding its clinical capabilities. This modern centre supports a broad scope of practice and is staffed by experienced nurses and administrative professionals who help GPs build and sustain their practice.

Large, established patient base: Care for a diverse, multi-generational community with strong demand and continuity of care.

Purpose-built, modern facilities: Sixteen consulting rooms, three skin rooms, two procedure rooms, and a four-bed treatment room in a brand new health hub.

Mixed billing with high earning potential: Flexible billing structures supporting both patient access and GP income.

Excellent nursing and administrative support: Experienced staff dedicated to assisting with daily workflows and practice growth.

Broad scope of practice: Varied clinical presentations across all age groups, supporting comprehensive general practice.

Onsite services: Convenient access to pathology and allied health services.

Work–life balance: Monday to Friday operation with flexible working arrangements.

Strong community and team culture: A long-standing, collegial team proud of delivering healthcare to the local Blue Mountains community.

DPA location: Suitable for GPs under moratorium seeking a procedural-focused role.
