Current Opportunities

GP Advisors for 2025 CPD Education

GPs in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow and Penrith can provide input into key CPD education topics under the RACGP Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program. This ensures activities reflect general practice learning and development needs. Participating GPs will provide input into education activities, including the Annual Paediatric Conference, Antenatal Shared Care, Women’s Health – Navigating Women’s Health Day, Healthy Ageing, Mental Health and Cultural Awareness. GPs will receive an hourly payment of $165 for up to four hours per year. Expressions of interest close Monday 10 February.

Winter Strategy Quality Improvement Collaborative Program

General practices in our region can apply for our eight-month Winter Strategy Quality Improvement Collaborative Program, supporting patients with chronic conditions through proactive care to reduce hospitalisation risk during winter. Participating practices will receive training, resources and participation payments of up to $7,500 (excluding GST). Expressions of interest close Friday 14 February.

Childhood Immunisation Quality Improvement Program

General practices in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury and Penrith can apply for a three-month Childhood Immunisation Quality Improvement (QI) Program aimed at increasing childhood immunisation rates. Participating practices will receive resources, training and participation payments of up to $2,500 (excluding GST). Expressions of interest close Friday 21 February.

Healthy Ageing Quality Improvement - Mobility Program

A short-term Healthy Ageing Quality Improvement (QI) Mobility Program is available to support general practices in our region in improving mobility for older patients. This initiative focuses on early intervention to reduce functional decline and hospitalisation risk. Practices will receive resources, training and participation payments of up to $3,000 (excluding GST). Expressions of interest close Friday 21 February.

Drop-in Doc Program

We are seeking general practices near Penrith CBD to express their interest in delivering healthcare to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The program requires an available general practitioner and practice nurse to provide healthcare services, including general health advice, wound care, immunisations and wrap-around support through partnerships with local services. Expressions of interest close Monday 3 March.
