May Update

Governance and Systems Modelling Working Group Formation

During the last month, we formed the Governance Committee and the Systems Modelling Working Group. Following an expression of interest process to all young people who were interested in the Right care, first time, where you live project, seven young people have joined across the two groups.

  • The Governance Committee met for the first time on 3 May 2024 and discussed Workshop 1, the interventions for the model and the two upcoming workshops.
  • The Systems Modelling Working Group met for the first time on 10 May 2024, with the meeting focusing on the data collected so far and early model developments.

June Update

Governance and Systems Modelling Working Group Formation

During June both the Governance and Systems Modelling Working group met individually, discussing the following:

  • The Governance Committee met on 13 June and discussed the top six interventions that were voted on by the attendees of Workshop 1. The group are close to finalising these and hope to share them with you in the next update, which will be released at the end of July.
  • The Systems Modelling Working Group met on 14 June and 5 July and discussed several aspects of the model, including education and population data parameters as well as the health economics inputs for the model.

September Update

Governance and Systems Modelling Working Group

During September the Governance and Systems Modelling Working group met individually, discussing the following:

  • The Governance Committee met on 4 September and discussed Workshop 2 and began conversations on the sustainability of the project and how we can best use the final model in advocacy and for additional funding oppertunities in our region. 
  • The Systems Modelling Working Group met on 6 September and discussed finalising four of the interventions, including: Safe Haven, youth post-attempted care, school based suicide prevention program and family psychoeducation.
