Welcoming changes to Our Board and announcing the 2021 Annual Report

The company's Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Wednesday 24 November and several changes to our Board were made.

It is with sadness that we said goodbye to Dr Tony Rombola, as he retired from the Board at the close of the AGM due to serving his maximum term as Director. Tony has been a Director since 2013 and was Chair of the Board for the last two years. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Tony for his contribution to the Company and advancing the vision of improved health and wellbeing for our community.

Mr Gary Smith has been appointed as the new Chair of the Board. Gary has extensive governance experience, as well as a strong background in general practice and health reform. He has been involved in the management of general practice since 1985 and has taken a keen interest in the operation of general practice and the major organisations which influence and shape general practice in Australia. You can read more about Gary on our website.

We are pleased to welcome to the Board a new Director, Dr Nicole Langsford, who was elected by Company members at the AGM. Nicole is a GP currently practising in the Blue Mountains.

Ms Belinda Hill retired from the Board in October 2021 and a recruitment process is underway to fill this allied health skill Director role.

Our Annual Report

At the AGM we presented our full 2021 Annual Report which outlines the depth of work undertaken in each of our priority areas over the last financial year. Read the 2021 Annual Report online
