John Blythe Child Psychology is seeking a Registered Psychologist to join their team on a full time or part time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Attendance at clinical supervision, professional development, and ongoing training.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Relate to young people in a manner which is culturally relevant and appropriate to their developmental and cognitive level of functioning and provide services in a youth friendly manner.
  • Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments of young people presenting to JBCP using age-appropriate, evidence-based assessment tools.
  • Conduct risk assessments, including assessment of suicide risk and violence risk and provide follow up support, referrals and treatment.
  • Maintain knowledge, understanding of, and adherence to relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Provide timely follow-up, monitoring and care as directed through Mental Health Treatment Plans (MHTP’s), referrer updates, and NDIS service plans.

Qualifications

  • Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA.
  • Hold or currently eligible to apply for a Medicare provider number.
  • Working with Children Check Clearance.
  • National Criminal Record Check.
  • Hold or gain NDIS Provider registration (this can be arranged through JBCP if needed).
  • Be a current Australian resident with the ability to work in Australia.
