There has undoubtedly been an increased need for mental health services, particularly over the past few months as the effects of multiple disasters take its toll on communities, their wellbeing and their mental health. It’s important to see additional health services across the region during these times.

The centre provides a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for individuals experiencing emotional or psychological distress, and the loved ones and carers who support them.

The walk-in aspect without the need for an appointment or referral has played an important role in ensuring accessibility and timely help for those in need. We are pleased to see that the service is being utilised, and feedback has revealed that it is benefitting people who may not have accessed support otherwise.

The centre is located at 111 Henry Street and is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year (including public holidays) from 1:00pm - 9:30pm every day, except Tuesdays which is 1:00pm - 5:00pm. People can also call the Head to Health phone line on 1800 595 212 from Monday to Friday 8:30- 5:00pm (except public holidays).
