Pharmacist in charge - Springwood

Blooms the Chemist Springwood is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic pharmacist to join their friendly, community-focused team in a full-time role (part-time considered for the right candidate). Ideally, they would like to find someone who shares their commitment for providing healthcare to the local community across opening hours.

Blooms the Chemist Springwood is located in the Lower Blue Mountains in a vibrant village. Their team consists of a diverse range of people from school students through to experienced, passionate team members who have worked in our pharmacy for over 30 years. The team enjoy having a laugh, and value the relationships they have with our long-term customers.

The pharmacy is open 7 days, weekdays until 8pm and weekends until 6pm.

You will be working alongside the pharmacist owners and at times will be required to work as a pharmacist in charge. Your role will focus on:

• Promoting the pharmacy as a centre for advice,
• assistance and information in areas of health and well-being
• Dispensing prescriptions as well as supervising dispensary technicians and an intern in dispensing using DispenseWorks
• Conducting vaccinations
• Providing patient-focused care and counselling on a range of services
• Overseeing activities in the dispensary and front of shop to ensure everything is running smoothly and our customers are well taken care of
• Contributing to all areas of our business, including retail

The successful candidate will possess:

• Current AHPRA registration
• Vaccination accreditation or willingness to gain this ASAP
• Amazing customer service and people management skills
• Ability to coach and develop a team
• High attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal
• An eagerness to be part of our pharmacy family
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• An enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn and grow with the pharmacy
• Strong and dedicated work ethic
• The desire to go above and beyond
