Medicare Urgent Care Clinic
The Commonwealth Government has committed to delivering community-based Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (UCC) to ease pressure on emergency departments and improve access to urgent, non-life-threatening episodic care when general practice is unavailable.
Expressions of interest (EOI) are now open for a Commonwealth funded Medicare UCC in the Windsor area.
The Windsor Medicare UCC will be expected to work collaboratively across the local health system to support referral pathways both into and out of the Medicare UCC to support integration and escalation pathways. They will be operational 365 days a year, from 8:00am to 10:00pm and offer easily accessible pathology and diagnostic imaging services.

The purpose of this tender is to identify a suitable general practice to operate a Medicare UCC within the Windsor area.
To be eligible to deliver this service, your practice must be located in the Windsor area and meet the requirements set out in the Operational Guidance document.
